Vasska Thornevald
Zealot vampire · Blood-Inquisitor
“The night does not forgive, and neither do I.”
Gender
Female
Age
211 years
Species
Vampire
Alignment
Lawful Evil
Appearance
Tall and severe, Vasska carries herself with the rigidity of a drawn blade. Her skin is the grey-white of old candle wax, stretched tight over sharp cheekbones. Her eyes burn a cold sacramental crimson, and her black hair is scraped back into a merciless braid. Ritual scars—self-inflicted verses in an old tongue—crawl up her forearms. She dresses in the black-and-iron vestments of an order long thought dead, cinched with a chain of hammered silver thorns.
Occupation
Blood-Inquisitor of the Sanguine Covenant
Personality
Traits
Motivations
She believes vampirism is a divine sacrament and that her bloodline was chosen to purge the unworthy. Every kill is an act of devotion; every convert, a soul reclaimed for her god of red night.
Goals
To resurrect the fallen cathedral of the Sanguine Covenant and baptize a new generation of the faithful in stolen blood, sweeping away the mortal cults she deems heretical.
Secrets
Vasska's faith is a scaffold hiding doubt: her god has never once answered her prayers, and she suspects the Covenant's scriptures were forged by mortals. She murders skeptics partly to silence the same questions in herself.
Way of speaking
Speaks in clipped, liturgical cadences, quoting scripture and creed as if every sentence were a verdict. Her voice is low, dry, and utterly certain, rising only when she preaches.
