The service
NPCGen is an online tool that generates non-player characters (NPCs) using artificial intelligence, intended for playful and creative use, particularly for tabletop role-playing games.
Your account
Creating an account is not required to generate characters, but some features need one. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, not to attempt to access it in an automated or abusive way, and not to use it to produce illegal or hateful content or content that infringes the rights of others.
Generated content
The characters you generate are provided for your personal and professional use. Because the content is produced by an AI, it may be imperfect, similar between generations, or inaccurate: review it before any use and remain solely responsible for how you use it.
Intellectual property
The service, its brand, design, and code remain the property of NPCGen. These terms grant you no rights over those elements beyond the normal use of the service.
Service availability
We strive to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may change, be suspended, or be discontinued, in whole or in part, at any time.
Liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, NPCGen cannot be held liable for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service.
Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms at any time. In the event of a significant change, we will let you know. Continuing to use the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
